On June 29, a symposium to solicit opinions on the Zhuhai 15th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization (Draft for Comments) was held at the Zhuhai Municipal Market Supervision Administration. Representatives from 17 enterprises and institutions, including Tairan Technology, Gree Electric Appliances Inc., and the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), were invited to attend.

   At the meeting, the overall formulation approach, core framework, and distinctive planning highlights of the 15th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization were introduced. It was also proposed that, in line with higher-level deployments, Zhuhai will thoroughly implement a specialized 15th Five-Year IP plan that aligns with the city’s unique characteristics, supports local innovation-driven development, and empowers coordinated development between Zhuhai and Macao. Through this plan, intellectual property will serve as an enabler for Zhuhai to build itself into a major growth pole in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a core city on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, and a model city of Chinese-style modernization. Based on the guiding principles of the meeting, participating units offered research suggestions on core topics such as the planning system, key tasks, and special projects. Speaking from the standpoint of an innovation-driven enterprise, Tairan Technology delivered remarks drawing on its extensive experience in IP research, patent applications, achievement protection, and industrial application.
